A concert for Alzheimers - Remembering Dermie Toland
Doors open 7:30pm - wheelchair access available .
The Harkin family. Featuring Bronach, Eimear & Aodhan on fiddle, whistle & guitar. With a lineage in the McDaid family from the Isle of Doagh, these 3 young musicians carry a tradition of muisc and songs of the Inishowen Peninsula.
Toland Family. Colm, Grace & Patsy – joined by friends and musicians who knew Dermie well. This will include songs and music from the Inishowen tradition. Dermie also played widely with other musical traditions & Jazz and to celebrate this Shane Devlin & Patsy Toland will add a Bluegrass set to the mix.
Dermie’s wife , Mary, will speak about the importance of music in his life and through his journey with Alzheimer’s.
To round off the night Dermie’s long time musical partner, Seamus Gibson will conclude the concert.

12:00AM - 1:00PM -Seated step dancing/ square dance tradition.
1:00PM - 2:00PM -Acadian Repertoire . Tunes & stories from the Acadian tradition. A unique opportunity to learn and share the culture of The Acadian, French speaking culture of Canada.

This exhibition will celebrate the rich tapestry of local history and community life, showcasing photographs and artefacts that trace the heritage of the local area.

Le Cheile Inishowen.
Le Chéile Inishowen are a group of young talented trad musicians under the guidance of Roisin McGrory. Their performance tonight will include muisc from Inishowen.
La Famille LeBlanc is an Acadian group known for its engaging energy and contemporary
approach to traditional music. Blending fiddle, guitar, vocals, and foot percussion, the group
revives the spirit of traditional gatherings while offering a modern sound. Driven by a deep
connection to their heritage and a desire to evolve it, they reach audiences of all generations both locally and internationally.
